The Effect of Quality of Work Life and Psycho-Social Safety Climate on Nursing Staff Work Engagement and Organizational Commitment

Abstract: Background: Quality of work life and psychosocial safety climate are management approach which can enhance the wellbeing, engagement, sense belonging commitment to organization. Aims: To determine relationship between quality life, psycho-social nursing staffwork engagement organizational commitment. As well as explore previous four variables personal characteristics data staff. Research design: A descriptive correlational research design was used. Setting: This study conducted in general Medical Surgical units at Assuit University Hospital. Subjects: subject consisted (106) staff working Tools: collected through self – administered questionnaire consist data,Quality Work Life, Psycho-Social Safety Climate, Utrecht Engagement & Organizational Commitment Scales. Results: The highest mean scores regarding context, support commitment, normative vigor. There a positive statistical significant difference both with years experience. Conclusions: is correlation but not significant. While they have negative Recommendations: Provide nurse managers training programs about improving psychological talent management, leadership communication skills.
